On September 27th Waller County Commissioners’ Court approved an incentive deal that will bring Europe’s largest solar panel manufacturer to Texas. Elin Energy, with corporate headquarters in Turkey, will have the capacity to manufacture 2,000 MW annually in their new US facility. Started in 1981, Elin Energy is a leader in advanced energy solutions.

Waller County Judge, Carbitt “Trey” Duhon III, commented, “We are excited to welcome Elin Energy to the Waller County community. Having the largest solar panel manufacture in Europe right here is a great honor.”

Their new advanced manufacturing facility will be up and running by Q1, 2024. Located in the popular Twinwood Business Park, which is just south of Interstate 10 in southern Waller County, Elin will bring around 100 jobs by the end of their first year of operations with an estimated 450 by the end of year seven.

“This is an exciting project. Elin represents the best in solar panel manufacturing and are a company that has built their reputation on quality and customer satisfaction,” says Waller County Economic Development Partner’s Executive Director, Vince Yokom. “We are excited that they chose Waller County for their US facility.

The new manufacturing facility, strategically located in Texas, marks a significant milestone in Elin’s mission to be the premier solar panel manufacturer in the country. This expansion aligns perfectly with their core values and vision of a greener and cleaner future powered by solar energy.

Mr. Arda YALI, President of Elin Energy LLC., expressed his excitement about the new facility, saying, "Our expansion into Texas represents a significant step towards a cleaner and more sustainable future for the USA. We are dedicated to providing top-quality solar panels to empower the nation with renewable energy solutions."

Elin uses efficient designs that increase solar panel productivity. They are more efficient and require less area to generate the same electricity as a traditional mono-facial system. This makes them very popular with solar farm developers and commercial contractors looking to build greener facilities.
