The City of Katy Public Works Department will be picking up and recycling live Christmas trees again this year, according to the official City of Katy Facebook page. If you have a live Christmas tree, the encourages you to recycle it after the holiday.
There’s still time – a second round of dates for collection has been scheduled to begin Monday, January 8th and continue to Wednesday, January 10th
On these days, make sure your tree is placed at the curb by 8 a.m. The trees must have all decorations, ornaments, tinsel, lights and stands removed to be recycled. Flocked trees and/or artificial trees cannot be recycled.
If you are not able to recycle your trees during these collection days, alternate locations for tree recycling are:

• Living Earth - 27733 Katy Freeway, Katy, TX 77494
• New Earth - 6205 FM 2855, Katy, TX 77493
