Maud Marks Library announces July programs for elementary students

On Mondays, elementary school aged children are welcome to Maud Marks Library, 1815 Westgreen in Katy, for special programs. Tickets will be given out 30 minutes before each performance. Priority seating is for children ages 5-11; little kids and parents will be allowed in as space permits.

· July 1 at 1:30 p.m.: Mark Shelton: Strike, Shake, & Scrape percussion show. A high energy one-man assembly that treats students to world class percussion performances by Mark Shelton. Students will learn about the percussion family as they enjoy the sounds of snare drum, rhythm bones, hammered dulcimer, handpan, electronic percussion and more.

· July 8 at 1:30 p.m.: Magic Show. Presented by Jamie Salinas. Join in for a fun, engaging, event with lots of audience participation.

· July 15 at 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.: Crocodile Encounter. An educational and entertaining program where kids get to experience reptiles – snakes, lizards, turtles, and tortoises.
