Fussell Senior Center hosts open house on December 1st

The City of Katy’s Fussell Senior center invites the community to their Holiday Open House, at 11 a.m. on December 1. The party is at 5370 E. Fifth Street in Katy and will feature the Katy Elementary School Choir.

Play in a Winter Wonderland at Lightbridge Academy on December 2nd

Fun for the family begins Saturday, December 2nd from 9 to 11 a.m. at Lightbridge Academy, 1711 Spring Green Blvd. in Katy. Enjoy holiday crafts, face painting, games and refreshments. For more information, please call 281-769-1230.

Second annual Holiday Craft Fair to be held December 2nd at Big Z’s Pizza

Get ready for Big Z’s Pizza’s second annual holiday vendor market with a toy drive benefitting nonprofit Children like Loni. Bring a new toy for your chance to be entered into the raffle. With over 20 confirmed vendors, there will be free pictures with Santa and much more. Festivities begin at 10 a.m., continuing until 2 p.m. at BIG Z's Pizza House & Brew, 2004 S. Mason, Katy.

Light the night at MKT Distillery’s annual tree lighting on December 2nd

Join the community for this popular event as MKT Distillery lights its Christmas tree atop the Katy Rice Dryers. The event -- now in its sixth year --starts at 5 p.m. at 5372 1st St in Katy. Dusk is estimated at 5:49 pm and the tree will be lit around 7 pm, which should be when it is dark. Come out and enjoy some great cocktails, and awesome spirits, all within Katy's historic rice dryers the historic tradition of putting a Christmas Tree on the Rice Dryers is revived and continued.

Christmas comes to Katy Heritage Park on Saturday

Celebrate the season at Katy Heritage Park, 5990 George Bush Dr, Katy from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 2nd. Ticket includes a cup of hot cocoa while supplies last, a letter to Santa, a Christmas craft, tour of our historic homes and the beautifully decorated Christmas trees. Christmas music. Food, hayrides, popcorn, drinks will be available as add-ons. Tickets are required for al attendees except infants under age 1. Activities and events are subject to change. No refunds. Have pancakes with Santa at the Katy Fire Department on December 9th

Santa will be visiting Katy Fire Station No. 1 at 1417 Avenue D on Saturday, December 9th from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. where he (and you) can enjoy pancakes. The breakfast features 55 pancake plates, music, and fun for everyone! Raffle tickets are available for $5.00 and proceeds benefit the KT Firefighters Scholarship program.

Activate and Extreme Offroad partner for toy drive on December 9th

New gaming venue Activate Games is teaming up with neighbor Extreme Offroad & Performance in their Toys for Tots drive on December 9th. Toys may be dropped off at Extreme Offroad & Performance at 20235 Katy Fwy, Ste A.

KATY AARP Chapter Meeting December 12th

The Katy chapter of AARP will meet Tuesday December 12 at Midway BBQ, 6191 Highway Blvd in Katy. The evening will start at 6:30 p.m. with a short meeting and announcements. Afterwards, entertainment will be provided by the Morton Ranch High School Choir. Visitors are welcome. Allow time to purchase any food before the meeting starts.
