Veterans breakfast with Santa on December 2nd

“Teacher of the Year” commemorative bricks to be unveiled on December 5th

The annual reveal of the commemorative bricks honoring Katy ISD’s “Teachers of the Year” will take place at Katy Heritage Park, 5990 George Bush Drive, at 6 p.m. December 5th . Each Katy ISD teacher who was selected as a “Teacher of the Year” for their campus this year will be honored with a personalized brick which will be permanently installed at Katy Heritage Park. Ida Franklin, owner of local company Venus Construction, has sponsored the event for 12 years.

Ring in the season with Hutsell Elementary’s Winter Concert on December 7th

Hutsell Elementary fifth grade presents its Winter Concert at 6 p.m. on December 7th at the Hutsell Gymnasium at 5360 Franz Rd, Katy. Students are to arrive by 5:30 with the concert starting at 6 p.m.

City of Katy’s official tree lighting set for December 7th

Join city officials for the lighting of Katy’s Christmas tree at 6:30 p.m. on December 7th in Heritage Square in historic downtown Katy at Second Street and Avenue C. The family-friendly free event continues until 8:30 p.m.

Lone Star Symphonic Band to hold “Behold the Star” concert on December 10th

The Lone Star Symphonic Band continues its 31st Concert Season with a performance at 4 p.m. on December 10th at Holy Covenant United Methodist Church, located at 22111 Morton Road, Katy.. Come prepared to enjoy the sounds of the season (and sing along) and join with the community to share the spirit of the holidays. Season tickets are $26 each and include all four remaining performances for this year’s Concert Season. Tickets to individual concerts are available at the cost of $7 each.
