Katy’s First Methodist Church opens Pumpkin Patch daily in October

A long-standing Katy tradition the Pumpkin Patch at Katy’s First United Methodist Church is now open every day from noon to 6 p.m. Come in and get a pumpkin and pose for a picture under the stately trees. Volunteers will also read stories to children. The Pumpkin Patch is located behind the church at 5601 Fifth Street in Katy.

Katy Market Day returns to downtown Katy on October 21st

Enjoy the fall and cooler weather while strolling the streets of Katy’s historic downtown during the October Market Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 21st, featuring excellent shopping at unique vendors as well as food trucks and entertainment. The event is reserved only for arts, crafts and cottage industries. Now in its 29th year, Katy Market Day is an outdoor event and is FREE to the general public. The market is held every third Saturday of the month from March to November on the square near Avenue C and Second Street in old Katy.

Masonic Fish Fry to be held on October 21st as drive through or dine in

Get your fill of delicious fried fish at the Katy Masonic Lodge’s Fish Fry from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on October 21st. Adult plates are $15.00 each and children’s plates are $8.00 each. The Katy Masonic Lodge #1439 is located at 3158 Katy Hockley Rd ., Katy.

Brookshire Pattison Fire Department hosts second annual spaghettis lunch and community craft show on October 21st

Stop by the Pattison Area Volunteer Fire Department at 2950 FM 359 in Pattison from 12 to 3 p.m. on October 21st for a delicious lunch of spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, bread, dessert and drink. Relive the Old West with George Ranch Frontier Days on October 21st

The Fort Bend History Association presents the George Ranch Frontier Days festival, held at the George Ranch Historical Park on October 21st. Bring the whole family to discover more than 150 years of Texas history. Enjoy hands-on activities, battle re-enactments, live entertainment, first-person costumed interpreters, historic home tours, games, cowboys, vintage vehicles, food, craft vendors and more. Celebrate “Pink Week” with the Hope Chest Resale Market starting October 23rd

Community groups join together to host family festival on October 28th

The West Memorial Community Association, West Memorial Friends, ALA Unit 164 and American Legion Post 164 Katy TX, will be having a free event for the benefit of the community on October 28th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at West Memorial Park, 22415 Kingsland Blvd, Katy. There will be family fun including candy, games, face painting, tattoos and a maze. Additionally, Texas Sno will be selling snow cones. It's “Trunk or Treat” at Katy’s First UMC on October 28th

Wear your costumes and get ready for a spook-tacular evening of Halloween fun as Katy’s First United Methodist Church holds “Trunk or Treat” on October 28th from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be real-life unicorns, a haunted house, decorated cars, a costume competition, and a pumpkin patch. Live music and food will also be available. The church is located at 5601 Fifth Street in Katy.
