The annual coaching convention, hosted by the Texas High School Coaches Association, broke its attendance record with a turnout of 13,696 over the course of the three-day festivities at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston.

It was already announced the next three coaching school clinics will be held in San Antonio, but the Houston convention not only produced record attendance numbers, but it also featured a panel of all 12 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) college coaches from across the state.

Austin County’s football coaches were also out in full force, with Sealy’s Shane Mobley, Brazos’ Ryan Roecker and Bellville’s Grady Rowe and his staff all in attendance to continue becoming better coaches.

The clinic boasted exhibits, panels for specific sports and a general assembly for all attendees to enjoy.
