Volunteers are needed to help make Cimarron Elementary school’s “World Tour MultiCultural Event” a success, according to the school’s March 6 newsletter. The festivities will be held on Thursday, April 3rd from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the campus at 1100 S. Peek, Katy.

“We’re inviting families to share their culture with our community,” the newsletter said. “Each participating family/group of families will receive a trifold board and table to showcase cultural artifacts, traditions, and even food. We are also looking for cultural performance groups, such as mariachi bands, dance troupes, or karate demonstrations.”

Families can partner with others representing the same country or culture. The school’s Parent Engagement Room will be available for preparation during the day, and an evening work session can be scheduled if needed.
