Chipotle Mexican Grill opened its latest location in Katy at 25226 FM 1093 W. today. The restaurant opened at 10:45 a.m. and will remain open until 10 p.m. According to a Chipotle press release, this will be the first Katy location to feature a “Chipotlane,” the restaurant chain’s drive-thru option.

The chain is known for its made-to-order burritos, bowls and salads as well as quesadillas and tacos.

The location is participating in the ongoing effort by the Chipotle chain to help support learners through the Kids In Need Foundation’s Supply a Teacher Program which works to help fund 100 under-resourced schools with supplies. Diners simply need to round up their bill to the next highest dollar amount through the restaurant’s app or when checking out.

The restaurant is hiring and expects to offer about 25 positions at the new Katy location.
