In celebration of Earth Day, Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones and Trees for Houston hosted a free “tree giveaway” on Saturday, April 6th at the Steve Radack Community Center, 18650 Clay Road in Houston. Residents of Precinct 4 were able to receive two trees free of charge, selecting from species including eastern redbud, loblolly pine, crepe myrtle, and Texas red oak. A long line of cars were already waiting when the event opened at 9 a.m.
