After selling out in several Katy-area communities, Houston homebuilder Legend Homes has returned to the region where it is adding new, affordably priced homes in the Waller County master-planned community of Bluestem, the company announced in a July 12 press release.

Starting in the $280s, Legend Homes’ award-winning single- and two-story floorplans offer sought-after features such as open-concept living, kitchen, and dining areas, large family room, kitchen island with bar seating, primary suite with walk-in closet, flex room, and dedicated laundry room. New homes also feature a covered back patio, mahogany front door, granite or quartz countertops throughout, and soaking tub with separate shower in the primary ensuite bath.

Plans range from 1,912 – 2,727 square feet. Legend Homes’ initial section in the new Brookshire community spans 116 homesites where construction of several move-in ready homes are underway or nearing completion.

Legend Homes will grand open in the community on Saturday, July 20. A Realtor preview will follow on Wednesday, July 24. For more information, contact onlinesales@livelegendhomes.com.

Bluestem marks Legend Homes’ first new homes in the Katy area since 2023 when the builder closed out in the top-selling community of Camillo Lakes.

“West Houston remains one of the most attractive regions in the entire metropolitan area,” said Daniel Banes, Legend Homes Vice President of Sales in Houston. “As more residents move toward Katy, the surrounding areas will naturally expand as well. Bluestem meets these buyers where they want to be with affordably priced, well-built new homes in nearby Brookshire.”

A 356-acre community, Bluestem offers an onsite community park and planned greenspace residents can use for picnics, dog walks, exercise, and more. Homeowners also have easy access to shopping, dining, and entertainment options in Katy.

“We’re excited about this new opportunity to connect homebuyers with a product they love at a price they can afford,” Banes adds. To learn more, visit livelegendhomes.com.
