Volleyball is back and with it comes one of the top preseason tournaments in the state, as Katy ISD and Cy-Fair will combine to host the Katy ISD/Cy-Fair Volleyball Classic from Thursday to Saturday.  more
The two top teams from the district last year were represented. Both Cinco Ranch and Seven Lakes earned spots in the top five after being the top teams in Class 6A-Region III last year. more

Katy and Jordan both earned a spot in Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Class 6A Preseason Rankings, which came out in July. Katy eunded up just outside the top 10 and Jordan snuk in as one of the final teams. more
“We’re going to see who gets those spots as we go, because that’s what so fun about this time of year, we don’t know who is going to be in a lot of spots,” McVey said. “A lot of those guys were in the weight room every day and they look good. It’s just about putting it together out on the field now.” more
Cinco Ranch had two named to the team, with Lucas Franco earning a second team nod and Brock DeYoung being named honorable mention and Katy had one named to the team, as Connor Udland earned honorable mention honors on the team. more

David Hicks Sr. was named to one of the most prestigious lists for high school coaches in the state, being named to Dave Campbell’s 40-under-40 list, which highlights some of the best young coaches around the state under the age of 40. more
A duo of Cinco Ranch Cougars and one Katy Tiger were named to this year’s Texas High School Coaches Association Class 6A Super Elite Team, with Brock DeYoung and Lucas Franco from Cinco Ranch and Connor Udland from Katy getting the nod and being named to the team after exceptional seasons. more

Katy ISD named it’s Student-Athletes of the Year this week and after terrific year’s there were co-winners on the boys side, with Seven Lakes’ Aidan Morrison and Tompkins’ Jayden Keys taking home the honors, while Katy’s Cameryn Harrison was named the female student-athlete of the year.  more
Cameryn Harrison and Ashtyn Reichardt were named first team all-state, while Montgomery Henderson was named to the third team and Ella-Kate Smith was named an honorable mention on the team. more

Katy ISD was once again well represented by the United Soccer Coaches Association, having three student-athletes named Soccer All-Americans, with two of them coming from Seven Lakes and one from Jordan. more
