You only have to look at last season to see how far the district has come with its success. In 2021, Katy ISD produced a state champion in Paetow and a state semifinalst in Katy, it didn’t stop there though, as both Tompkins and Cinco Ranch come off regional semifinal appearances. more
In a rematch of last year’s season opener for both teams, Seven Lakes and Memorial will meet at Tully Stadium to open the season. more
“It was an awesome way to start off district,” said Tompkins head coach Allison Merrell. “We knew that we had to come out strong tonight, and we were able to do that in spurts. We have to do a little bit more, but it’s early still." more
In the first week of the non-district season, Katy ISD sent a team to the gold, silver, bronze and fourth bracket of the Katy ISD/Cy-Fair Tournament and a number of Katy schools have gotten off to hot starts this season. more

A number of Katy ISD players were named to the Touchdown Club of Houston’s preseason UIL honor team for the 2022 season. The team features 38 football players from the Houston area, 20 on offense and 18 on defense. more
There were two head coaches of the year both on the girls and boys side, with Taylor’s Tonya McKelvey-White and Mayde Creek’s Mareon Lewis sharing the honors as girls head coaches. more
Cinco Ranch and Seven Lakes finished off strong Katy ISD tournaments on Saturday by competing in the silver and bronze brackets of the Katy ISD/Cy-Fair Tournament. more
