“I think we just need to continue what we’ve been doing,” Williams said. “We have to listen to our coaches, know what we need to do when we go out there every night and listen to the minor details that we need to fix the rest of the way. If we do that we’ll be in really good shape.” more

“We knew we could compete against these guys and we proved it,” said senior wing Jared DeFrance. “We’re growing as a team, learning to trust each other more and battling. Yeah we were down at half, but nobody hung their heads, we knew we could get back into it and win it.” more
Five Tompkins players were named to the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association All-State team on Friday, as the accolades continued pouring in for the Falcons after they reached the Class 6A state final this season. more
Seven Lakes and Taylor won their brackets at the I-10 shootout in what was a great weekend of competition hosted by the Katy ISD schools, as everyone gets ready for the grind of district schedules. more

“It’s a great experience to have and to be a part of,” Hicks said. “Those kids are big, fast and strong. It’s a different level and it almost felt like I was back in the NFL. It’s a lot of the top 300 players in the nation all in one place. It was truly a special thing to be able to coach all of those guys.” more

Royal had a good number of students named to the District 10-4A, Division II All-District football team after a very strong season in which the Falcons finished second in district, only lost two games and made it back to the playoffs. more
The tournament, hosted by Katy ISD, brings together great teams from throughout the state all of which will come together this Thursday-Saturday to compete at Katy ISD high schools and both Rhodes and Legacy Stadium. more
