Keith Alden Rabe, loving father, brother and friend, died on January 29th, 2022 at the age of 65 at Houston Methodist West Hospital in Katy, Texas.

He was born on July 4th, 1956 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Andrew Rudolph Rabe and Carolyn Joy Rabe. He attended Stilwell Technical Center, where he learned his trade, before graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1974. He loved the outdoors and rehabilitating vehicles. After working in sales for many years, he went back to his family roots of auto repair and opened his own business, “Start Me Up” Auto Rehab, where he served the community for more than 30 years.

Keith was a devoted follower of Jesus, and always spoke openly about his faith. His auto repair business was his ministry – it gave him the opportunity to share his witness and serve people with honesty and humility in an industry that is often the opposite. Just as he did with cars, Keith always saw the best, the gold in people (Proverbs 11:27). Keith was loved by all who knew him.

Keith is survived by his children, Jennifer Arnold (Nate), Anna Rabe-Cruz (Nicholas), Andrew “Buddy” Rabe and Abby Rabe; girlfriend, Georgette Dietz; sisters, Darlene Morrison and Anita Rabelo; grandchildren, Brady, Tyler, Journey and Layla; numerous nieces and nephews, and a dear cousin, Faye Crowley.

He is preceded in death by his parents, beloved daughter Crystal Nicole, and brother Gary.

Funeral services will be held at Tri-County Baptist Church (5715 Peek Rd, Katy) on Saturday, Feb. 5th at 11:00 AM. A visitation/reception for family and friends will follow immediately, along with a graveside service.

Flowers can be sent to Claire Brothers Funeral Home before Friday at 4:00PM.
