In a contested election such as 2022, top-of-the-ballot races receive the attention, but the lower-ballot races, such as for county party chairman, have also drawn candidates.

In Fort Bend County, Democratic chairman Cynthia Gillard has drawn two challengers. One is retired attorney Morris “Skip” Bell, and the other is Allison Drew, a former Fort Bend Independent School District trustee. Republican chairman Bobby Eberle is unopposed.

In Harris County, both Democratic chairman Odus Evbagharu and Republican chairman Cindy Siegel are unopposed. Evbagharu is chief of staff to state Rep. Joe E. Rosenthal of Houston. Siegel is a former Bellaire mayor.

In Waller County, Democratic Party chairman Denise Mattox is unopposed. Republican chairman David Luther, a private investigator, has drawn an opponent. She is Lesha Roberts, an organizer of the Waller County Patriots, an activist group.
