A total of 45 Katy ISD student-athletes formally committed to their college or university of choice before heading off to Thanksgiving break last week. It was the first signing day of the year and included a number of big name signings.
Seven Lakes led the way in the district with 16 collegiate signings, while Tompkins had 12, Cinco Ranch had six, Taylor had four, Jordan had three in the schools first ever signing day,Paetow had two, and both Morton Ranch and Mayde Creek had one signing each.
Among the signees were players that signed to the University of Mississippi, Texas Tech University, Lamar University, Stephen F. Austin and Rice University.
