After claiming its first district championship, and going undefeated in doing so, Tompkins dominated All-District 19-6A girls basketball honors.
The Falcons went 12-0 in winning 19-6A, thanks to a dynamic mix of young, precocious talent and veteran leadership. For their efforts, coach Tammy Ray was named the district’s Coach of the Year, freshman guard Loghan Johnson was a unanimous choice as Most Valuable Player, junior guard Crystal Smith was named Defensive Most Valuable Player, and freshman wing/guard Fiyin Adeleye was a unanimous choice as Newcomer of the Year.
