One of the best lineman in college football is on the move.

Taylor grad Bryce Foster announced his transfer to the University of Kansas on Sunday, going to the Jayhawks after three years at Texas A&M.

Foster was one of the best transfers available in the nation, ranking in the top 35 interior lineman transfers of the 2024 cycle. It is a big loss for Texas A&M, losing what was a starting lineman and one of the best discus and shot put throwers in the SEC.

Foster came to A&M as a four-star recruit and made an immediate impact for the Aggies. As a freshman, Foster started 12 games and earned All-SEC Freshman and Freshman All-America honors. His second year with the program as cut short though as he was injured in the fourth game of the season, missing the rest of the year. Foster came back strong this year and played in all 12 games for the Aggies this year, eight of which he started and he was a big part of the teams success. He started 28 games in total over his three years with the Aggies.

Foster joins Lance Leipold’s team on the back of a 9-4 season where they ranked as high as 16^th in the College Football Playoff poll. The Jayhawks will have big hopes for this year in a season where they think they can compete for one of the top spots in the Big 12. The offensive line was a big need for Kansas to fill and they got one of the best to do it in Foster, who is expected to slot in as the team’s starting center. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
