Fort Bend Dulles announced Tuesday that it had hired Seven Lakes quarterback coach Bill Garrey as the school’s new head football coach and campus athletic co-coordinator.

“Thank you all for a rewarding three years at Seven Lakes,” Garrey said. “I’ve been blessed to have learned from and worked alongside so many talented coaches, teachers, administrators and support staff. I’m forever grateful to Mrs. (Kerri) Finnesand and Coach (Jimmy) Hamon for giving me the opportunity to be part of such a special place.”’

Garrey takes over after Shane Byrd, who had coached the Vikings for four seasons but stepped down as head coach in early March, they come off a 3-7 season year in 2022.
