One arrested in child pornography case in Canyon Gate
Samer Chadi Wehbi was arrested March 5 for possession of child pornography by members of the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office who are part of the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force according to a FBCSO press release.
“We are dedicated to protecting the children and families of Fort Bend County,” said Sheriff Troy Nehls.
The arrest came after a search warrant was issued and subsequently served at Wehbi’s home in the Canyon Gate section of the Westheimer Lakes subdivision. There were four people living in the home, including one minor.
Wehbi was found to have child pornography on multiple devices and admitted to having hundreds of images of child pornography saved to his devices.
Wehbi was subsequently booked into the Fort Bend County Jail for Possession of Child Pornography.
“We will stop at nothing to apprehend these dangerous predators,” Nehls said.
