Katy fell in this week’s Dave Campbell Texas Football Rankings in week three, dropping to No. 16 after the team’s loss to Atascocita in week two.

The Tigers were ranked No. 11 last week and dropped five spots after the loss, The Tigers lost 41-24 in the game but played well for three quarters against a team ranked ninth overall in the state.

Duncanville moved up to the top spot in Class 6A in the state, while North Shore was second, North Crowley was third, Westlake was fourth and DeSoto dropped from first to fifth after a loss. Atacocita remained at No. 9, while other Houston area schools included Summer Creek at six, The Woodlands at 13, Bridgeland at 14 and Fulshear at 15.
