The Fort Bend County district attorney’s office and Unbound Now Houston, a human trafficking survivors support group, present Speak Up: Sex Trafficking Talks in Fort Bend County.
The sex traffficking awareness and protection event is free and open to the public. It is set for 6-8 p.m. April 6 at Brazos Hall, Room 103, at the University of Houston-Sugar Land campus, 14000 University Blvd. in Sugar Land. Attendees are asked to park only in parking lot 1.
Topics include sex trafficking in the city, what is grooming, types and signs of sex trafficking, keeping kids safe, and how to report sex trafficking.
