Brandi Nicole Barker, 27, of Katy, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at her residence. Brandi was born on May 29, 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas to parents, Trent and Sherrie Tuttle Barker.

Brandi was raised in Katy area and graduated from Seven Lakes High School. She later graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos with a degree in nursing. She worked for St Lukes Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed being with her friends and family, cooking, dancing, craft work and playing with her fur baby, Hazel. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Theresa Tuttle, cousin, Terry Talafuse and close friend Debbie Bunjoch.

Brandi is survived by her parents, Trent and Sherrie Barker of Fulshear, love of her life, Wesley Thompson, grandparents, Joe and Joyce Barker of Wharton, uncle Don Tuttle and wife, Robin of Lee Summit, MO, aunts, Shelia Carter and husband, Doyle of Baton Rouge, Bobbie Jo Talafuse of Wharton, Brenda Muzyka and husband, Tim of Fulshear, and Connie Miculka and husband, Red of Hungerford, cousins, Rusty Miculka and wife, Amanda, Ashley Miculka, and fiancée Tyler Farrar, Tonda Talafuse, Ryan Carter, Anthony Carter and Annie Tuttle, great nieces and nephews Harper, Quinn, and Jack Miculka and Brielle Carter and her God Son, Kase Baca.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Wharton Funeral Home after 5 pm. A rosary service will be held at 6 pm. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10 am Monday, October 21, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton with Father Bob Knippenberg celebrating the Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal. Burial will be in St Marys Catholic Cemetery in Hallettsville at 3pm Monday. Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Carter, Anthony Carter, Rusty Miculka, Michael Baca, Grant Koenig and James Holmes with honorary pallbearers Kase Baca, Don Tuttle, Keith Dornak, Daniel Jedlicka, Ronnie Koenig, Martin Kalinowski, Red Miculka, Doyle Carter, Tim Muzyka, Jeff Barker.
