The City of Katy’s Parks and Recreation Department announced via Facebook the completion of the Arboretum Playground at 2046 Katy City Park Road in Katy. Featuring multiple slides, various climbing activities, and creative spaces, the playground features shade structure covering the entire playground ensures play can continue even on the sunniest days.

Located in the heart of Katy, right next to Katy City Park, the Arboretum also offers families a unique chance to enjoy nature on a short walking path, where information placards provided by Keep Katy Beautiful describe each unique tree species.

In its post, the Parks and Recreation Department issued special thanks to The PlayWell Group and to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board for their assistance with the design of the new play area. “Projects like this are part of the City of Katy's ongoing commitment to advancing the goals and objectives set forth in the 2022 Parks, Trails and Recreation Master Plan,” the post said.
