17 KISD schools recognized for achievement in learning

Posted

Katy Independent School District is focused on closing the achievement gap and helping all its students reach academic success.  To recognize those efforts, 18 Katy ISD schools now proudly display the distinction of being a Texas Honor Roll School by the Educational Results Partnership

After an extensive analysis of student data of every public school in Texas, these campuses demonstrated clear leadership in motivating and achieving academic success for its students at their grade-level and beyond.  Sponsored by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence, the ERP Honor Roll is the only school recognition program in the state that uses student achievement outcome data, making it a valuable resource for all schools to identify successful peers and learn about best practices that improve student success.

The 2019-20 Texas Honor Roll includes:

  • Alexander Elementary
  • Holland Elementary
  • Kilpatrick Elementary
  • Pattison Elementary
  • Randolph Elementary
  • Shafer Elementary
  • Stanley Elementary
  • Wilson Elementary
  • Wolman Elementary
  • Beckendorff Junior High
  • Katy Junior High
  • Memorial Parkway Junior High
  • McMeans Junior High
  • Seven Lakes Junior High
  • Tays Junior High
  • WoodCreek Junior High
  • Tompkins High School
  • Seven Lakes High School

For high schools, the ERP Texas Honor Roll recognition includes measures of college readiness.  This year, the program recognized 943 higher-performing schools across the state.
