Waller County Judge Trey Duhon has announced that testing is available at the Waller County Community Center today until 6 p.m. Those wishing to get tested must make an appointment to be tested by registering at www.txcovidtest.org or calling 512-883-2400.

“You must be symptomatic to some extent to qualify, or you are considered high risk because you are 1) in close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case or 2) you have significant co-morbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, obesity or lung disease,” Duhon said in the announcement.

There are a total of 120 slots available to get tested and about 50 places were still available as of about 11:30 p.m., Duhon said. There is not cost for the testing and Duhon said it is important that Waller residents utilize the testing site as much as possible in order to ensure further access to testing.

“If we don’t use all 120 spots, it might be harder to get another mobile testing site in the future. If anyone needs to be tested, this is the ideal time,” Duhon said.
