Katy placed three players on the Texas Sports Writers Class 6A All-State Team, which was released last week.

Cameryn Harrison, Kailey Wyckoff and Ashtyn Reichardt were all named to the team after a year in which Katy won a district title and made a run to the Class 6A Region III semifinals.

The three Tigers were the only representatives from Katy ISD on the team, as the three led the way for the school district.

Northside O’Connor took home both distinct awards after winning the state championship, as Northside’s Sammie Portillo won player of the year and Caitlin Bollier won coach of the year for the classification.

All three of Harrison, Wyckoff and Reichardt were named honorable mentions to he team, as the three followed up their district awards with even bigger ones.

Harrison was named the District 19-6A MVP as a sophomore before being named honorable mention and Wyckoff was named the district’s defensive player of the year and Reichardt was named to the first team.

Harrison was the ace all year for Katy, while also leading the team in home runs and being arguably their biggest threat at the plate, as well as on the mound.

Wyckoff was a guiding force and a leader for the team all year, as she helped all her young teammates and pitchers from behind the plate and showed them early on what it took to win.

Reichardt was a do it all player for the Tigers who got things done at the plate, with baserunning and in the field on defense.
