Meagan Brown tied tings on an RBI double before two more runs came across on an error to give Tompkins a 3-1 lead.
Things stayed that way until the sixth inning, when Mayde Creek found its breakthrough.
Carrizales tied things up with a two run homerun, and after a double from Julissa Aquino, Kima Sepic gave the Rams the lead on a single to center field. Tompkins had a final chance to tie things in the top of the seventh, but Gonzalez struck out two and pitched a clean half inning to seal the win.
