Royal ISD bond committee members toured the five district campuses Aug. 25. Campuses included Royal High School, Royal Junior High School, Royal Elementary School, Royal STEM Academy, and Royal Early Childhood Center.
At each stop, the campus principal gave a brief tour, highlighting issues that could be covered on an expected bond election for May 2023. Foremost among the issues were security upgrades to include remodeled school doorways to control access and updating the security alert system to work across all the campuses. Schools are also in need of technology upgrades, and in some cases, foundational work and repairs.
