Randy Lee (Leach) Nitzschke, beloved son, father and grandfather, passed away on November 3, 2020, surrounded by family and friends. He was the precious son of John Lee and Della Virginia Nitzschke, born January 12, 1958, in Houston, Tx., attending Whittier Elementary and Furr High School.
He loved to dance, crack jokes, bar-b-que and was a longtime member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Committee. To many he will be remembered (in the words of several friends) as a man with “great salt and pepper hair” (maybe those are Randy’s words…lol) and “remember his frankness and sense of humor”.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents Della and John Nitzschke; two children, Daniel (Heather) Nitzschke, and Jarred (Jennifer) Nitzschke; two brothers, Dale and Davin Nitzschke; three sisters, Darla (Blake) Talley, Dalael (Mike) Wille and Daura (Randy) Chastain; five grandchildren, Cheyenne (Austin) Morris, Savannah Murphy, Bert “Cooney” Savage, Alexandria and Camdyn Nitzschke and a host of friends. A very special thanks to Audrey Clifton, who was a loving girlfriend and Randy’s caretaker for the last two years.
A celebration of Randy’s life will be held at Second Baptist Church, 19449 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77094 on Friday, November 13, 2020 beginning at noon. The family requests the use of masks (mandatory by the facility rules) as well as safety and social distancing for attendees.
In these difficult times the family encourages your participation of “Randy’s life celebration” on “Facebook Live” if cannot be attended in person. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Memorial Sloan Kettering Center for AML research and treatments.
He will be greatly missed, but we know we will see him again in Heaven.
