Marie Ann Kaminski Stastny, 65 passed away peacefully in Katy on April 22, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 3, 1954 in Navasota, Texas to parents Leonard and Mae Kaminski.
She graduated from Sealy High School and soon after met the love of her life, Ben Stastny. They were married on October 13, 1973 at Immaculate Conception Church where they are members today. Marie work in banking for 40 years where 16 of those years she worked at Prosperity Bank/Pin Oak as a personal banker/banking officer and was well known in the Katy community. During their happy life together Ben and Marie were blessed with two children Courtney and Cole. Her pride and joy was the title of “Maw” given by her four grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Ben Stastny, daughter and son-in-law Courtney and Jason Williamson, son and daughter-in-law Cole and Katie Stastny, sister and brother-in-law Sharon and Bobby Sharp, grandchildren Kendalyn Williamson, Brayden, Corbin, and Mason Stastny. Numerous nieces, nephew, family and friend.
The family will gather at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Sealy for a private burial. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
