“God Blessed Texas! “ the City of Katy Parks and Recreation Department’s Facebook page exclaimed on August 5 in announcing that the band Little Texas will perform at the Rice Harvest Festival coming up in October.
“We’re beyond excited to welcome Little Texas to the main stage at this year’s Katy Rice Harvest Festival,” the post said. “Their performance is going to be unforgettable, and we can’t wait!”
Little Texas will be headlining the main stage on Saturday, October 12 at 8 p.m. Known for their multi-Grammy nominations and numerous ACM, CMA, and CMT Awards, the band has three consecutive number one singles and a dozen “Top 10” hits, including the iconic "God Blessed Texas."
The Rice Harvest Festival, an annual event put on by the City of Katy and the Rotary Club of Katy, will take place October 12-13 in the historic downtown square at Avenue C and Second Street in old Katy. In addition to music on three stages, the event will also feature a carnival, a kids/teens zone, unique vendors, and new attractions as well as beer and food. Free shuttle service is available from the parking lot at the Merrell Center, 6301 S. Stadium Lane in Katy, on both Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and children under 12 get in free. All proceeds from the event will benefit the community, according to the festival website.
