Linda Kay Willis, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, daughter and sister went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, October 28th, 2019 at the age of 68 after a nearly two-year battle with brain cancer.

Linda was born March 10th, 1951 to Aubrey Moses Sutton and Rose Medeiros Sutton, in Edinburg, Texas, she later moved to East Bernard, Texas with her family in 1964. Linda graduated from East Bernard High School in 1969 and later attended Wharton County Junior College, where she met her future husband, Walter M. Willis, Jr. They were married in 1973 and later had their daughter, Amanda.

Linda enjoyed music; she played the piano and sang in the church choir at Katy Bible Church for over twenty years. She played French Horn in the East Bernard High School Marching and Concert Band winning several competitions as well. Linda loved to attend Texas A&M Football games with Walter throughout the years and was nicknamed the “12th Woman” always yelling for the team in true Aggie Spirit.

Linda was always known for her contagious laugh and smile and always brought happiness to those around her. She was probably most known for her servant’s heart. She set the example by being a devoted wife and mother, homeschooling her daughter and being involved in many church activities throughout the years. She later worked with her husband, Walter, as Senior Accountant, even continuing through her recent illness until a few months ago.

Linda was preceded in death by her Father, Aubrey Moses Sutton and Brother Gary Wayne Sutton. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Walter M. Willis, Jr., Mother, Rose Sutton, Daughter, Amanda Everitt, Son-in-Law, Michael Everitt, Granddaughter, Victoria Everitt, and Sister Elizabeth Sutton.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 between 12 noon and 2 o’clock p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 2 o’clock p.m. at Katy Bible Church, 2500 Avenue D, Katy, Texas 77493.
