The Katy Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9182 received a donation of 363 cases of Girl Scout cookies due to the Girl Scout’s limited amount of sales. Maribeth Negri, Katy Cupboard Manager for the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council, provided the cases to the Katy VFW Post who then distributed the cookies to other posts around Texas. Most of the cookies were given to the PTSD Foundation of America (Camp Hope) in Houston and a VA clinic in Katy. The rest were given in smaller increments to other veteran-related posts.
The donations were very much appreciated by each location, said a VFW press release. This is why the Katy VFW reminds people not to forget about the Girl Scouts this time next year.
