Katy remains on top of rankings after close call against Dickinson

Katy stayed No. 1 in the Class 6A Houston area high school football rankings this week after a close 28-21 game against Dickinson, Dickinson dropped one spot to No. 11. Katy received 10 first place votes while Atascocita received two first place votes and Spring received one.

Katy remains on top of rankings after close call against Dickinson

Katy stayed No. 1 in the Class 6A Houston area high school football rankings this week after a close 28-21 game against Dickinson, Dickinson dropped one spot to No. 11. Katy received 10 first place votes while Atascocita received two first place votes and Spring received one.

Tompkins stayed at No. 7 this week after its win over Klein Collins, North Shore was the biggest drop of the week, dropping from three to six after its loss to Westfield. Summer Creek, Pearland Dawson and Jersey Village entered the rankings after being unranked last week.

Cinco Ranch received 14 votes, tied for the top but went unranked this week.

In Class 5A, the top four remained the same, with Paetow remaining at No. 2 with one first place vote in the rankings, while Baytown Lee entered the rankings for the first time this season.

Huffman-Hargrave stayed No. 1 in the small school rankings while Kinkaid stayed No. 1 amongst private schools.
