Jordan may be young, but the Warriors are determined.
Despite falling behind to Richmond Foster, the Warriors scored three straight goals to advance to the Class 5A Regional Finals, putting the team on a cusp of a state tournament in its first varsity season.
Things were tied in the game until the 41st minute, when Fosters Zachary Griffith gave the Falcons the lead, but the Warriors confidence never wavered.
Jordan kept pressing until the 56th minute, when Marcelo Ojeda took a pass from Chris Segura and put it in the back of the net to tie things.
The Warriors kept pressing, and in the 64th minute Noah Betancourt gave Jordan the lead and Hani Taan capped things off four minutes later, taking a pass from Betancourt and scoring.
The Warriors advance to Saturday’s Class 5A Region III Final, where they will play Northeast Early College, which is 13-7-4 on the season.
