Higher Dimension Church, (HDC) celebrated the grand opening of its brand-new Katy campus, at 1350 North Mason Road in Katy on November 17. The site was previously occupied by the New Hope Presbyterian Church.
The Katy grand opening celebration included a 10 a.m. worship service, followed by campus tours, refreshments, treats, and giveaways for attendees. The facility offers seating for 300 and church leadership plans to add additional services as the congregation grows.
“This grand opening milestone marks a significant step for the church, which has sought a permanent Katy home for more than 15 years,” said a November 15 press release from the church. Situated on nearly five acres with 14,500 square feet of newly renovated space, the new Katy Campus is ideally positioned off I-10 West and Mason Road, near Katy Mills Mall and Highway 99. The new campus will provide increased capacity for children's programming, expanded meeting areas, and new, dedicated spaces for middle and high school students, supporting Higher Dimension’s commitment to youth ministry, mentorship, and family engagement. The property features two playgrounds, a small, paved walking trail, and plenty of green space, creating a welcoming environment for family and community gatherings.
“Our new campus is a tremendous blessing, and we are thrilled to welcome our Katy family and everyone in the community to a new home with so much to offer,” said Founding Pastor Terrance H. Johnson. “Higher Dimension Church is passionate about building community and supporting individuals and families in every aspect of life, throughout the greater Houston area. This new facility has been a long time coming. We’re looking forward to expanding our services and growing alongside the Katy community for many years to come.”
Over the past 15 years, Higher Dimension Church has been an integral part of the Katy community, looking for a permanent home while providing worship and community services initially at a school, then moving to a storefront, and eventually to the Steve Radack Community Center, where it has gathered for worship over the past two years. During this time, the congregation reached approximately 1,000 members. Renovations at the new campus, which began in August, have transformed the space with updated classrooms, modern fixtures, and brand-new furnishings.
“The church has been a guiding light in the greater Houston area for 25 years, fostering spiritual growth and inspiring individuals through its impactful programs and ministries,” said the press release. “Under the leadership of Pastor Terrance H. Johnson and First Lady Torsha Johnson, the church is committed to empowering individuals and families through faith-based teachings that address real-life issues including faith, family, relationships, finances, mental and spiritual health, and more, designed to help people lead a fulfilling life.”
