Escorted by Katy Police Department Officer Krause, Bennett Smith becomes the first pedestrian to officially use the new crosswalk at Franz Road and Cane Island Parkway. The new traffic signal was activated on Thursday, November 2, with KPD Police Chief Noe Diaz, Mayor Pro Tem Chris Harris and Councilmember Dan Smith present. “We worked hard to make this happen,” Harris said of the signal project.
