Fort Bend County is currently accepting applications for the 2024 Summer Youth Employment Program (YEP). The application window is open until Friday, March 15, 2024.
Fort Bend County's YEP is set to offer youth and young adults, ages 16 to 21, the opportunity to participate in a broad range of openings across 38 diverse County departments. In the current year, county officials announced the availability of 250 openings for both full-time and part-time positions. Running from June 5 to July 31, YEP offers participants a chance to build their resumes, cultivate their skills, and pave the way for a more promising future.
“I strongly urge our young individuals not to let this golden opportunity slip through their grasp," said Judge KP George in a press release. "It is a pivotal moment for our youth and young adults to invest in their future, laying the foundation for success and growth."
Since its inception in 2019, YEP has provided meaningful employment opportunities for nearly 1,000 young individuals.
Prospective applicants are invited to submit their applications through the Fort Bend County website at www.fbctx.gov. Upon completing the form, a dedicated member of the county’s Human Resources team will promptly reach out to applicants, to guide them to the next steps in the application process.
