Danny Dearl “Dan” Caudle passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020, in Katy, at the age of 82. Dan was born on October 8, 1937 in Maud, Texas to William Nathaniel and Bessie Preston Caudle. In 1964 he married Virginia Lynne Farris in Muskogee, Oklahoma. In 1966 he received his PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Oklahoma and began a distinguished career with Conoco as an environmental engineer, retiring after 27 years. He was a Distinguished Lecturer for the Society of Petroleum Engineers and was a member of the American Chemical Society and NACE. Dan was a member and Deacon Emeritus of Sharpstown Baptist Church in Houston. For the last 27 years, he and Virginia have been residents of Katy. Dan served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserves for eight years.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Caudle of Katy; children, Annette Seiber of Katy, Dana Caudle of Auburn, Alabama, Amy Luke and her husband Gregory of Katy, and Robert Caudle of Katy; grandchildren, Jesse Seiber, Olivia Caudle, Jeffrey Newman, William Luke, Catherine Luke, Matthew Luke, and Aden Caudle and beloved friend Jim Cokinis as well as numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Ernest, Gerald, Theda, Nathan, and David.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
