She was preceded in death by parents, Florence and Floyd Alexander; sister, Ruby Corder and husband of 72 years, Clodis Cox.

Audrey was a to-the-penny bookkeeper. She worked with Clodis at M&M Air Service and Texas Rice Improvement Association, where she served as Secretary-Treasurer for more than 40 years. They continued working together at Seaberg Rice Company in Dayton and Cox–Nelson Seed Company in Katy.
