Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a home invasion at 3:35 a.m. on Feb. 28 after a homeowner reported that three to four unknown men kicked in his front door to force entry into his home. The homeowner picked up a handgun and shot one 21-year-old male suspect in the arm, HCSO confirmed.

The uninjured home invaders fled the scene in an as-yet-unidentified vehicle.

The home invasion took place in the 18700 block of Sandelford Drive, southeast of the intersection of Greenhouse Road and West Little York Road.

EMS arrived at the scene of the incident and transported the injured suspect to Cypress Memorial Hospital.

The HCSO Violent Crimes unit was contacted and responded to the scene. Charges are pending for the injured home invader and the identities of his accomplices are being investigated.
