The Katy Independent School District’s Board of Trustees held a special board meeting on Tuesday, July 16 at 11 a.m. at the Martha Lopez Aki ECI Project Tyke Center, 6301 S. Stadium Lane in Katy to discuss and consider action on a one-time lump sum payment for classroom teachers. Board President Victor Perez has said in prior board meetings that the lump sum payment is part of the district’s plan to retain classroom teachers.
