Wendy Gayle Redmon-Stinson, 53 years old, went to be with the Lord on May 15th, 2021 from her home in Austin, TX  She was surrounded by her husband Ned Stinson and her entire family. She leaned on her strong faith in Christ to get her through a 2 year battle with cancer. She was so blessed to have her devoted husband by her side as he cared for her throughout her illness. She was an inspiration to so many as she showed incredible strength. Wendy was born in Texas City, TX, on September 8, 1967, to Leonard and Gloria Redmon. She grew up in Santa Fe, TX, where she graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1986.  She then went on to Stephen F Austin University where she earned her degree in social work.

Wendy was a very gifted artist. She created several beautiful paintings and she loved decorating her home, making it a warm environment for all who entered.  She loved animals with all her heart, and she had her beloved “CoCo” by her side throughout her entire ordeal.  Wendy’s passions also included music, attending concerts, playing sports, and snow skiing.  She was very sociable and had a tremendous amount of friends throughout her life who thought the world of her. She had a natural ability to make everyone she met feel at ease. She had an unbeatable bond with her “Santa Fe sisters” who attended weekend reunions together for the past 35 years. Wendy loved her family unconditionally and she was a very loving and devoted mother to her daughter Trinity, and her two step-daughters, Courtney and Taylor. She was also a devoted wife to her husband Ned.

Wendy used her talents to create beautiful displays for Baume & Mercier and was very successful in her career as she worked for high-end jewelry companies as a sales rep for John Hardy, Simon G and Constantino. She was loved and respected by her colleagues and customers. She also really enjoyed her first job out of college working at Boys & Girls Harbor for underprivileged children in Laporte, TX. Wendy was a true joy to be around. She was always smiling and laughing and enjoyed making others feel good.

Wendy is survived by her husband Ned Stinson, daughter Trinity Lopez, stepdaughters Courtney and Taylor Stinson, Sister Debbie Pierce, Brother Paul Redmon and wife Kay, and her sister Pam Redmon. She also has two nieces and three nephews and nine great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by both parents, Leonard (Chuck) Redmon and Gloria Redmon and her brother-in-law, Larry Pierce.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway Chapel, in Katy. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021, at Kingsland Baptist Church, in Katy, with Rev. JP Pruett and Mr. Bobby Petrocelli officiating. Interment in Katy Magnolia Cemetery.
