Staff and fellow residents of Cinco Ranch Alzheimer’s Special Care Unit honored resident Ray Randall with a “Vintage Man” birthday bash on Friday, February 16th, as he prepared to celebrate his 102nd birthday on Sunday. Randall, shown with his daughter Claudie Bourgeois of Fulshear, is a World War II veteran who flew C46 and C47 planes over the China-Burma-India supply route while serving in the Army Air Corps (the predecessor to the U.S. Air Force). Randall spent much of his life in the Chicago area, working in sales and marketing for several canning food plants, but recently relocated from northern Arkansas to be near his daughter and grandchildren. Daughter Claudia credits his longevity to Randall’s “very active lifestyle,” which included golf, travel, and gardening, as well as “good genetics.” Cinco Ranch Alzheimer’s Special Care Unit is located at 3206 S. Fry Road in Katy.
