Tompkins had two players named MaxPreps High School Volleyball All-Americans this season, as Cindy Tchouangwa and Tendai Titley were both named to the 60-player team of high schoolers around the nation.
Tompkins was ranked among the top 25 teams in the nation throughout the year and were led by both Tchouangwa and Titley led the team to a 42-5 record and state final appearance. Tchoungwa was named a first team hitter on the team, and had 590 kills and 504 digs on the year. She was named the District 19-6A player of the year and has signed to play volleyball at Rice University.
Titley was named to the second team as a hitter after being named the the state tournament team a few weeks earlier. An all-around presence for Tompkins, she had 468 kills, 487 digs, 62 aces and 37 blocks on the season or the Falcons as they claimed a District 19-6A championship as well as winning the Region III title and a state semifinal game for the first time.
And Tchoungwa and Titley weren’t alone in their accomplishments, as junior setter Erica Dellesky was named to the MaxPreps Underclass All-America Team, after a very strong junior season.
Dellesky finished the year with 645 assists and 305 digs as she and Presley Powell were both forces at the setter position for Tompkins.
