Katy area residents will now be able to donate to the Houston Food Bank by eating out at local participating restaurants on Tuesday, June 2.

GroupRaise, a restaurant fundraising platform, is working with local restaurants and will be donating 15-25% of all sales on June 2 to local food banks as part of a nationwide event called ‘Takeout for Good.’ Three local Katy restaurants in the area will be taking part in the event.

According to the GroupRaise website, the three local restaurants participating are Pane e Vino Trattoria and Pizzeria, located on South Fry Road, Kim’s Tea House, located on South Mason Road, and Victor’s Mexican Grille, located on FM Road 359 in Fulshear. Pane e Vino will be donating 20% while Kim’s Tea House and Victor’s Mexican Grill will be donating 15% of sales.

All donations from participating restaurants will be given to local food banks directly, said Laura Bilsborrow, media spokesperson for GroupRaise.

Residents can look up which local restaurants are participating on GroupRaise’s website by inputting a zip code.
