Shaping the future of Texas dedication: Royal ISD, Bellville ISD, and TASA welcome statewide leaders for FRSLN Event

Royal ISD, Bellville ISD, and the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) hosted approximately 134 education leaders from across Texas on February 26, for the latest gathering of the Future Ready Superintendents Leadership Network (FRSLN). The event, held at Hemi Hideout at 1172 Wilpitz Road in Brookshire, provided a collaborative platform for district leaders to engage in innovative discussions and leadership development.

Attendees from 42 school districts participated in collaborative activities and gained insights from a lineup of dynamic speakers, including:

Nicole Poenitzsch, Superintendent, Bellville ISD

Phylicia Glover, Assistant Superintendent, Royal ISD

Dana Bashara, Superintendent, Alamo Heights ISD 

Rose Jones, Board Member, Royal ISD 

Cori Vahalik, Board Vice President, Royal ISD 

Sandra Buenger, Board President, Bellville ISD

John Hovas, Owner & Curator, Hemi Hideout

Ansell Sims, President, Grundfos USA

Frank Alfaro, Assistant Superintendent, Alamo Heights ISD

Nathaniel Richardson, Educator, Principal, Superintendent, School Board Member, and Professor

The event featured performances and presentations from:

Royal Sound Machine

Royal High School Cheerleaders

Royal High School Jazzettes

Royal MJROTC



Attendees also had the opportunity to visit Royal ECC, Royal STEM Academy, and Royal High School to witness firsthand the innovative and transformative initiatives shaping the future of education in Royal ISD.

The gathering continued at Hemi Hideout with a networking reception and dinner. On February 27 Bellville ISD hosted the next segment of the event, providing further opportunities for learning and collaboration among future-ready education leaders.
