Royal coach, basketball teams and band honored during Heritage Celebration
At the March 16 Heritage Celebration at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church at 1335 Waller Avenue in Brookshire, area coaches and athletes were honored with special awards. Left to right: Howard Randle, Royal boys varsity basketball coac; student Elijah Matthews, and Royal Head Coach/Athletic Coordinator Theadis Reagins received recognition during the evening. The Royal varsity boys basketball team and the Royal varsity girls basketball team, along with the Royal High School Marching Sound Machine Band, were also saluted at the event hosted by Rev. Dr. Lee Jones at the church.
